We are starting with only 2 acres as our start up. We have to do alot of planning to make the best use of the land. I suppose you might think that much land would not be adequate to start Alpaca ranching. Well it is a little tight but that will just makes it a bit easier to get from one place on the ranch to the next.

We actually started our Alpaca business when we bought our first Alpaca, Tahoe Aries Jazmin, and agisted her and breed her at the ranch we bought her from, Tahoe Breeeze Alpacas in Gardnerville Nevada.

Our experience is limited at this time but we have found that the folks that are in this business are extremely free and easy with their knowledge. We have heard it over and over again that they are happy to help. Kathy and Mike Hill at Tahoe Breeze Alpacas are more focused on helping us get started than we could have hoped for, These are really great people. We almost feel like we are being taken in as family members. As Grand parents we look forward to our children and grand and greatgrand children participating in, enjoying and sharing the same experiences with us.
